Special Achievement
• First Bangladeshi to obtain ‘European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Diseases (HERMES DIPLOMATE) in 2016 (since the exam started in 2009).
• Worked as Mentor for European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine (HERMES Examination) under European Respiratory Society two times (for the year 2017 & 2018).
• 25 years of experience in the field of Internal Medicine and Pulmonology.
Success Story
• Graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 1996 (Batch: K-46).
• After Internship training, joined BIRDEM in 1997 in the department of Cardiology
• Joined Ministry of Health, Government of Bangladesh in 20th BCS in 2001 and worked in different places and centres, including- Health centers (in Jamalpur and Dhaka), DMCH and NIDCH. Worked as Registrar in the Department of Medicine at DMCH.
• Left Government service and joined Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman as Specialist, Medicine in 2011 and worked till 2016.
• Joined BIHS General Hospital in 2017 as Associate Professor (CC) in the Department of Respiratory and Internal Medicine.
• Working as Professor of Respiratory and Internal Medicine since 2022. Also working as Head of the Department of Medicine since 2021 till date.
Training/Conference
• Participated in a number of workshops, seminars in home and abroad.
• Presented papers and Posters in different seminars/ conferences.
• Successfully completed CPR course (BLS & ALS) at home and abroad several times.
• Successfully completed Certificate course in Research Methodology.
• Involved in participating and organizing a number of CME workshops/ Seminars/ Conferences relating to various aspects of Medical Science, including- Respiratory Medicine and its different branches, including- Interventional Pulmonology, Diabetes & Metabolic disorders, Allergy & Immunology, Evidence-based Medicine etc. at different national & International Institutes.
• Membership: Life member of Bangladesh Medical Association, Collegiate Member of Royal College of Physician, London, UK. Also Member of American Thoracic Society (ATS) and Americal College of Chest Physician (ACCP).
